Bangladesh and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Monday (Oct 27, 2014) signed three agreements to boost cooperation in different fields side by side with further strengthening bilateral ties.
The deals were inked after a meeting between visiting Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum in Abu Dhabi in the afternoon on Monday.
The deals are: “The Agreement on Security Cooperation between the
Government of the United Arab Emirates and the Government of People’s
Republic of Bangladesh”, “The Agreement on Transfer of Sentenced Prisoners” and the agreement on handing over land for construction of the UAE Embassy in Dhaka.
The first two agreements were signed by State Minister for Home of
Bangladesh Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal and UAE Minister of Interior Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and the third one was penned between Bangladesh Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali and UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdulla Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. –Our Monitor
