President of Bangladesh, Abdul Hamid, left Dhaka for Dubai Monday (Oct 27, 2014) morning to attend the 10th World Islamic Economic Forum (WIEF).
The president left Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka by a regular flight of Emirates Airlines at 9:55am.
The WIEF begins on Tuesday (October 28). President Hamid will address the forum the same day.
His visit to Dubai is taking place at the invitation of Vice-President and Prime Minister of UAE and ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
He is expected to return home on October 29.
Finance Minister AMA Muhith, Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu, principal secretary to PM, chiefs of the three services, dean of the diplomatic corps and concerned high civil and military officials were present at the airport to see him off. –Our Monitor
