Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on the first day of her three-day official tour to United Arab Emirates (UAE) visited the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque here in the afternoon on Saturday and offered Asr prayers there.
Sheikh Hasina visited the majar of the founder of the mosque and Father of the Nation of UAE Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan and offered fateha.
The prime minister was warmly greeted as she arrived at the mosque complex. She was also given a souvenir of the mosque. The prime minister signed the visitors’ book.
Foreign Minister AH Mahmud Ali, Minister for Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Engineer Khandakar Mosharraf Hossain, State Minister for Labour and Employment Mujibur Rahman Chunnu, Awami League leader Dr Hasan Mahmud, media adviser of the Prime Minister and Awami League president Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury and PM’s Press Secretary AKM Shamim Chowdhury, among others, accompanied the prime minister during the visit. –Our Monitor (Photo: PID)
