Ambassadors designate of Belgium and Bulgaria to Bangladesh and High Commissioners designate of Botswana and Lesotho to Bangladesh separately presented their credentials to President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhban on Monday.
The non-resident envoys are: Jan Luykx of Belgium, Petko Kolev Doykov of Bulgaria, Lesego Ethel Motsumi of Botswana and Bothata Tsikoane of Lesotho.
Welcoming the ambassadors and high commissioners, the President said there is tremendous potential and wide scope to further develop meaningful collaborative relationship between Bangladesh and those countries, President’s Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim told the newsmen.
President Abdul Hamid assured them of all-out cooperation in discharging their assignments in Bangladesh. The envoys told the president that they would work to enhance bilateral co-operation of their countries with Bangladesh.
Secretaries concerned to the president were present on the occasion. Earlier, on their arrival at Bangabhaban, the envoys were given guard of honor separately by a contingent of the President’s Guard Regiment. –Our Monitor (Photo: PID)
