Canadian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Heather Cruden made a farewell call on President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban in Dhaka on Sunday. During the meeting, the president recalled the existing excellent bilateral relations between the two countries and hoped that it would continue to strengthen further, President’s Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim informed the media.
Abdul Hamid thanked Cruden on her successful completion of tour of duty in Bangladesh.
The High Commissioner said Canada has been extending its cooperation for the development of primary education and maternal child health in Bangladesh. Her country always places emphasis on economic cooperation to Bangladesh, she added.
