Two more give confessional statements
The International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL) has issued a red alert notice on Bangladesh expatriate Kamrul Islam, one of the main accused in beating killed 13-year-old Rajon in Sylhet.
“Bangladesh requested the Interpol for issuing red alert on Kamrul Islam, who is now under custody of Saudi Arabian police, to bring him back,” Assistant Inspector General (AIG) NCB (Interpol) Mahbubur Rahman said.
He said the Saudi authority is also willing to send Kamrul through Interpol. “The Saudi government offices would remain closed till today (Wednesday) for Eid-ul-Fitr and Kamrul’s repatriation might have to wait till the offices reopen,” Mahbub said.
According to the Interpol website, Kamrul Islam is wanted by the judicial authorities of Bangladesh for prosecution purpose.
The Interpol also published the particulars of Kamrul for identification including name, date of birth, place of birth and nationality.
Earlier, Saudi Arabian police arrested Kamrul from Jeddah with the help of some Bangladeshi migrants on charges of Samiul Alam Rajon’s murder case in Sylhet.
Another report says: Two more accused of Samiul Alam Rajon murder case Tuesday gave confessional statement before a court in Sylhet.
The accused Noor Miah, who took the visual record of Rajon murder incident and Dulal Ahmed, a close associate of the killing mission gave their statement under Section-164 before third metropolitan magistrate court.
Earlier, another key accused of the murder case Moyna Mia alias Boro Moyna, gave confessional statement in the same court on Monday.
Meanwhile, police arrested ten suspects including a woman on charge of Rajon murder. –Our Monitor
