Leader of the Opposition in Bangladesh Parliament Rawshan Ershad on Monday said anarchy has been perpetrated in the country in the name of hartal and blockade.

In a statement, she urged all to be united against terrorism and anarchy.

Rawshan bitterly condemned the subversive activities, including petrol bomb attacks on moving buses, killing people, taking out of fishplates of railway tracks and vandalism.

She said hartal and blockade are democratic forms of movement to realise demands. But the current anarchy, which is being created in the country in the name of hartal and blockade, is simply harming the lives and properties of general people, she added.

The opposition leader said if the chaotic situation continues, it will be harmful for the students and also the SSC examinees. –Our Monitor
